Hey Luke... Hey Lauren... Hey Chase... Hey Aaron...

How's another Thirty Thousand bucks for research sound?

We are now walking for a whole lot of other friends as well.

The NAAR Walk 2006 was a proud day for The World Famous Rhino Bar as we hit the road for Autism Research for the third time.  Team Rhino Bar raised another $29,000 for National Association of Autism Research.

It brings our total to well over $50,000.

Since our inaugural event we have spilled our crazy Rhino Bar attitude all over this charitable event... in our third appearance we exceeded every other team in fundraising for the NAAR Walk event, including raising more than the "presenting sponsor" Papa John's Pizza!

A special thanks to all our Qualcomm participants, Freedom Grill , the San Diego Pantera Club, RB Hair Team and Serengeti Jewelers for that extra push and special friendships.  This year we expect help from members of Sigma Phi Epsilon & Alpha Chi Omega joining with Rhino Bar.

Although having fun is a primary objective for Team Rhino Bar, this is our pal Luke DeRoche and his mom Katrina.  Luke has Autism.  He and his mom & dad are the reason Team Rhino Bar became involved and one of the reasons we continue to participate.

While our Team member's kids struggle to pick the right prom date, select a college and earn their wins on the baseball field or volleyball court, Dave & Katrina hope Luke will learn to communicate better and hope he will learn to socialize as he grows up.  Observing his progress for the past two years is a reminder of how important this event really is.

It sort of puts all of our life's issues into perspective.

During our first year, we met Chase (left photo) and Aaron (right, hiding in his yellow wagon on the right) who joined our list of friends with Autism. These kids are the reason we give.

Providing these families help and hope is why we walk.

You can donate directly to this event at: Rhino Bar donor page, or join our 2006 team by clicking on the link above.

This many people: Hit Counter have beat you to this site and signed up to walk or wrote checks to the Autism Walk to help Luke, Chase, Aaron and other kids who greatly appreciate your sacrifice!  We sure hope you join them.
